Dr. Yeva Ghrjyan, PsyD

I’ve always been fascinated by the complexity of the human experience—how we think, feel, relate, and make meaning of our lives. My first love was neuroscience, which led me to earn a degree in Biopsychology from UC Santa Barbara with a minor in Applied Psychology.

Over time, my interests shifted from the exciting new research about the brain to the depths of the mind—the unconscious forces that shape our emotions, relationships, and inner conflicts. I ultimately pursued a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles, and have been grateful for that decision every day since. In my work as a psychologist, I’ve found that neuroscience and psychoanalytic thought speak the same truth, just in different languages.

They both tell us that the mind and the human experience are not fixed. They’re full of endless possibilities. Whether it’s neuroplasticity or unconscious patterns, we know that change is possible when we begin to see the world as full of opportunities.
